MULTIPLES FOR MASKS

Through the ability to create multiples, printmaking has been the means to spread information, news, and education to the masses.

Despite digital advances, the art of printmaking and creating multiples is alive and utilized by artists and creatives around the world.

At Expressions Graphics, we believe that multiples can mean so many things. That’s why we’re starting Multiples for Masks, an installation project that supports your local Oak Park printmaking studio while offering one-of-a-kind masks to our area non-profits and shelters.

Here’s how it works:
  1.  Sew, buy, or otherwise fashion a mask or masks
  2.  Decorate the mask however you see fit – both functional and conceptual masks are welcome!* We want to see your creativity
  3.  Email info@expressionsgraphics.org to coordinate a contactless drop off
  4.  Include a $10 donation (PayPal accepted) per mask to support the documentation, installation, and coordination of the exhibition and donations. These donations are helping Expressions Graphics survive the shut-down and ensure that we will be here for you when classes and workshops can resume!
  5. Check out the installation through the big window of Expressions Graphics at 29 Harrison Street during the month of August!
*masks that do not provide adequate protection will not be donated, but will still be documented and installed in the exhibition.

Artists will have the option to collect their work after the exhibition

We are grateful!

Funds for Expressions Graphics were received from the Oak Park River Forest Community Foundation.
